Your guide through the night, keeping the contest moving and the jury honest.
Opening Number
Every contest opens big. Expect pageantry, flags and at least one questionable costume.

Each comedian represents a country with a set built around where they're from.
Interval Act
A musical interval while the votes come in — just like the real thing.

Points light up in real time until one nation is crowned the WorldVision winner.

The Comedians Vote
First, the competing comedians award each other points on stage. Alliances form. Grudges are born.

Then it's your turn. The crowd's votes land on top and can flip the whole leaderboard.

The nation with the most points takes the title — until the next edition.

2. What this policy covers
This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit this website (the "website"), why, on what legal basis, and what rights you have. The website is an information page for the WorldVision Comedy Contest. We do not sell tickets, run user accounts or collect payments on this website ourselves.
3. Hosting (Squarespace)
The website is hosted by Squarespace Ireland Limited, Le Pole House, Ship Street Great, Dublin 8, Ireland. When you visit the website, Squarespace automatically processes technical data that your browser sends, including:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- pages visited and referring URL
- browser type, operating system and device information
This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website). Squarespace processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. 4. Cookies
The website uses cookies. Details are in our Cookie Policy (linked in the footer). Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of § 25(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie banner.
5. Website statistics (Squarespace Analytics)
With your consent, Squarespace collects anonymised usage statistics (e.g. number of visits, pages viewed, approximate location at country/city level, device type). We use these only to understand how the website is used. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
6. Fonts
The website uses the fonts "Anton" and "Inter". These fonts are embedded directly in this website, so no connection to Google Fonts is made. In addition, the Squarespace platform loads some system fonts via Adobe Fonts (Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd., 4–6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Park, Dublin 24, Ireland). For this, your IP address is transmitted to Adobe; Adobe states that it does not set cookies for this purpose. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (technically reliable display of the website). 7. Embedded YouTube video
We embed a video from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) in "privacy-enhanced mode" (youtube-nocookie.com). According to YouTube, no cookies are stored in this mode until you play the video. When you play it, data such as your IP address and viewing activity is transmitted to YouTube/Google and may be transferred to the USA (EU–US Data Privacy Framework). If you are logged in to Google, YouTube may link the viewing to your account. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent by starting the video) / Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. 8. Links to other services
The website contains plain links (not embeds) to:
- Eventbrite – ticket sales. If you buy a ticket, Eventbrite processes your order data as its own controller; we as organiser receive the attendee data needed to run the event (name, email, ticket type). Eventbrite privacy policy: https://www.eventbrite.com/help/en-us/articles/460838/eventbrite-privacy-policy/
- Google Forms – applications from comedians. Data you enter (e.g. name, contact details, country, performance details) is stored by Google on our behalf and used only to assess your application and contact you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to an agreement). We delete applications no longer than 12 months after the edition you applied for, unless you agree to be kept on file.
- Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) – our profile @worldvisioncomedycontest. If you message us there, Meta's privacy policy applies; we use your message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
No data is transmitted to these services until you click a link.
9. Contact by email and contact form
If you email us or send us a message via the contact form on this website (name, email address, subject, message), we process your email address, name and message to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (if it concerns a booking or collaboration) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (general enquiries). Contact form submissions are stored by Squarespace on our behalf (see section 3) and forwarded to our email inbox; the form uses Squarespace’s built-in spam protection. We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply (e.g. 6–10 years for business correspondence under German commercial and tax law).
10. Audience reviews
Reviews shown on the website were given voluntarily via our feedback form or on Eventbrite/Abundo. We publish them without surnames or only with the first name given. If you want your review removed, email us and we will remove it promptly.
11. Photos and video at the shows
Our shows may be photographed and filmed for promotion (website, social media). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and §§ 22, 23 KUG (German Art Copyright Act) for images of events. If you do not want to appear in published material, tell the host or email us and we will remove or not publish identifiable images of you.
12. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:

- restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
